It certainly does!
How did I miss this thread? Those mounts are very cool. Have I missed the price? Thanks for sorting all this out dude. We owe you a collective pint
Coilovers...that's a pretty sweet price. I'd be potentially interested in fronts. What's the plan for top mounts? I want to keep rubber (or poly) in all the joints! I'd also petition for late 360-style ARB termination - to the strut, rather than the wishbone. It's a nicer approach....plus it keeps these Renault types in their place
As for the rear....my plan is to convert to a trailing arm type setup, so I probably wouldn't go for a 'helper' arrangement....but kudos for arranging it. I think a small 'cup' (2" deep?) welded to the underside of the normal shock mounting point would do it. The main risk is the upper spring perch punching straight through the standard mount point. Ultimately, though, if it did fail, it'd just be like you had no shocks, and no extra spring rate...you wouldn't die. I've seen factory-spec cars where the upper shock mounts have failed.
cheers

£220....gulp. Remember what I was saying about us all being skint? Having said that, that's the kinda price of the originals, when they were available.
Out of interest, what prompted you to go for 'race spec' mounts? My only real interest is that they're actually available, and the originals tend to fail once they get old I'd be happy with originals if there were still available. Have you found them too sloppy? I know 740/940 hydraulic ones tend to allow the engine to tip over a bit too much.
I can probably obtain some 360 struts for you, if it means we get late 360-style endlink termination
cheers

Why all the love for the 360 ARB style Foggy ? I'm really not sure what I prefer tbh, just remember more front antiroll==more understeery. The 360 has a thicker bar (I think... need to check) and the attachment points are futher out, meaning more anti roll on both those points compared to a 340.
FWIW, I think the 360 setup would be about right on a car with good front shocks, but it's something thats easy to overdo I'd imagine.

Is it actually a thicker bar? Do you remember how much by? I've been thinking of either getting a thicker bar or changing to 360 struts, and I have an early 360 bar lying round somewhere...

I can get Coilovers made with brk on strut body and then it's up to people to choose if they use it..

Absolutely - that's a spot-on idea. My concern was if there's no bracket, no option.

I could potentially be talked into a carbon bonnet...potentially...
Price is likely to be a big factor here, for everyone. I like to spend where I can, but I have a house, and they're expensive too
