Rev counter problems
Hi everyone, just a small problem.
Its not really that major but just annoying, my rev reads far too low. When my car is idling the needle is just below 0. when i press the throttle the needle moves steadily but still seems too low. its as though its only reading 70%
does anyone know what may cause this?
Cheers
Matt

well i dont have a speedo so rev counter so wont be able to give much advice but just a thought, could it be that the needle has been twisted somehow so when the cars revving at say 3000 rpm the needle only reads 2000 if you get what i mean.
This could be sorted by just opening the dash and twisting the needle back to its original position but like i said i dont have a rev counter so probably best to wait for someone else who does lol but just a thought.
Dan.

ah but now you wotn know if its reading right or not!
as you'll have just moved the pin so it'll be over or under reading now.
best thing would be to get an after market tacho that reads right wire it in and then if yours reads 200 rom at 60 and the after market one reads 3k. you know you need to blue tack yours in place at 2k then wind it forward to 3k so it reads right.
best way to do it.
