i got in the 360 tonight to drive my friends house and the fan belt was making the slipping sound, nearly at his and the battery lights come on so i know right away i've lost the belt. thing is theres 2 belts? so is it common for both to go? also car got well hot is the water pump run off the same belt?

Just adjust the tension or buy new belts if they have been slipping for long time... They don't cost much and are fairly easy to change. Correct belt is between sizes 10x910 and 10x925.

Best to buy volvo ones as they are sold in matched pairs

cool all done took like 10 mins to fit but 3hour to get bits and down to the car, got love london transport. on plus side i got both belts for 6quid!

The motor would've got really hot because the fanbelt was broken and the fan was not turning to cool the radiator.
