Post by rems » 16 Jan 2009 08:34 pm

im not sure if i have put this post in the right room

but i was having a look on ebay for a 360 or 340 and come across this 340

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-VOLVO-340-DL ... 240%3A1318

will it be worth it as a 1.4 to use for drifting?

It would be useless for drifting, even the 2.0 with a welded diff struggles in the dry. You'd have to swap the engine for sure

Oops sorry mate

A 1.4 will definitely get you into a few tricky situations in the wet if you're pushing it, but if the original poster wants to drift something then I'd probably recommend something more powerful

i've got a 1.4 with a welded diff and it slides for fun theres a bit more than just welding the diff minf you like stiff as fook rear end and lots of air in the tyres but she slide with 15's on with 35psi in the rears no probs wet or dry its not just the car its the drivers abilty to get it going as well
