My renewal will be around 400 this December. 3 years no claims and I'm 21. Did some shopping around and it's about 100 more if I want to declare the mods I plan to do

I got quotes £2100 on a 1.4 yesterday (17, first car, male, with dad as the 2nd driver (having a parent as 2nd driver lowers quote by ~£600 for me))
I'm going to go on a comparison website, and find a lower quote... then I'll take that quote back to the ins. brokers and get them to beat it. Play them off against each other a bit... I just hope the best quote I get *isn't* from Quinn because the brokers will laugh at me if I ask them to beat Quinn, because Quinn are shite :p

That is a total p*ss take of a quote for a 1.4 thats worth what, even in factory fresh condition top whack £1000?!

Comparison sites are fine for just that, but to get a really good deal your better off spending a few hours on the phone to various companys. Pretty much all of them will give you a better price than what it states on the comparison sites.

Also smaller lesser known companys can often do you a good deal, maybe worth looking into? The Co-Op used to be pretty good and cheap when i started driving.
