Quick Question (Urgent)

Post by Van Hoof » 26 Nov 2009 11:13 am

Doing a 480 Turbo conversion to my :340: and need to know if I can use the gearbox that's in the car at the moment or whether I need the gearbox from the 480. Had a good hunt around but can't find the info on this. My car's a 1.7 already if that helps.

Thanks guys, any help appreciated.

You need to sue the 340 gear box.

You will have to fit a spigot bearing to the turbo engine (this is the bearing that fits in the end of teh crank for the belhousing shaft to sit in) You willaslo need to use the 340clutch plate and release bearing.

If you are on a tight budget you could reuse the one form the original 1.7 engine.

I do sell teh spigot bearings For £5.10 see this thread http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 04&start=0

Postage to you would be about £2 for oneof them.
