Another 360 Project.....

Post by kiwswe » 10 May 2010 07:43 am

Hi Guys,

I just bought a 1986 360 GLT 5DR for $220 NZD(about 110 pounds), thinking of making it into a drifter... and now i suppose everyone's thinking rattlecan black, fully stripped out, wannabe drifter etc. I'm (hopefully) smart enough to not do this and make a fun little drifter that can also be a "nice car"... haha

So any ideas, suggestions that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. :)

(Pics to come!)

Thanks
Nik

If you just want it to slide, best course of action is weld the diff.
But that does limit usability if youre running it as a dailly (IMO).
Lower it a bit to get the centre of gravity down a touch, and stabalise the massive factory body-roll.

Thats enough I recon.
Others might advise higher grade oil in your current shocks, landy shocks on the back etc.
But the more you do, the less 'dailly' therell be left in it.

Hope some of that helps.

Looks like a lovely origonal car to me, and I hope you dont take it tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo far from factory spec.

It needs some rust work done :S

What sort of landy shocks does it take?

Afaik, Landy 110/90 front shocks will fit the rear on a 340.
