yes, fixed as in non adjustable.

with this relay you can adjust or set your own "sweep time" and it will remember that setting untill you adjust it again

trabitom99 wrote:Very interesting. The fixed speed isn't that useful really, as it's always either too fast or too slow!

Copied from your linked page:
USING YOUR NEW RELAY:
The stock intermittent speed is not adjustable. The new relay is completely adjustable, with a 2-22 second delay iirc. You program it as follows:
1) Push up wiper stalk to intermittent position
2) Return to "off" position
3) Wait desired interval then push back to intermittent. Whatever time delay you set it with, it will remember that speed until you rest it again.

I could have saved all the questions if i'd just read this bit

Great modification! Always liked that feature, and despite having about 11 cars the only car that had it from the factory was a £200 Skoda Felicia...

This'll probably be one of the first things to do to this GLS, a really good mod - thanks for posting nomead

What VW's do these come in for the scrappy raiders?

EDIT: Skoda Felicia's are sure to have the same relay, fusebox under the glovebox under the dash :)

VW parts no 3B0 955 531 (has been altered over the years; this is current VW number) don't bother visiting the vw dealer for a new one, in holland they are 47 euro's a piece including tax :D
