Attended a Car show in historic Fort Ticonderoga, New York over the weekend. The show was great, weather was fine and the location, perfect.
I only had one issue.....

Can you tell what my issue was ?? ??

Is there anywhere you can buy a soft plush furry V343?

No warm fuzzy little trinkets around my 343.

Upcoming weekend (5 October) is the Volvo National Meet which is being held only 35 miles from my home.
With a little luck and some fancy driving (Uphill all the way to an elevation of around 2,900+ feet above sea level) I should be able to drive my 1978 V343 up there without mishap.
I know "Marilyn" will be the only Volvo 343 there, since there are only two remaining examples in the states.Unfortunately "EFY" (the 1982) belonging to Bob C. is far from ready to go out in public.
I'll post again on Sunday after the party is over.

I will post lots of photos after the weekend Mark....not to worry.
Bob C. called the other day and he will be coming down on Friday to drive one of my "weird Volvo cars" (343 & 66) to the show on Saturday.
I still have to find out what class they will be putting me in....LOL. There is not a class listed for either.

Bob C. and I had a great time at the 30th Anniversary Volvo Nationals this past weekend...my two "Orphan Volvos" were a smash.
I've already posted this link on the V300 facebook page but needed to put it here as well...
Yesterday the Autoweek feature article by Jay Ramey was released about my MARILYN.

It's always good to see when car journalists don't copy (and re-copy) the frequently repeated myths such as:
"Michelotti designed the 343" or even
"The 360 is the booted version of the 340"
I get all jittery every time I read that stuff
Cheers

Cheers all....
I am very pleased with the reactions (& of course with the article). Jay did a superb job of getting the facts correct and his photography is top notch.

Saturday in the post I found this.....
The Volvo Club of America decided to issue a special award to my 343 DL for participation in the 30th Anniversary car meet. A very nice gesture.

The other day I happened to be surfing YouTube and came across this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f21sN3g604Y
An enthusiast took this video when I had my 343 at the Saratoga Auto Show during the 2013 season.
The commentary is hillarious. "Blessed are the ignorant...for they know not"
