Fantastic job! I'm am really jealous of all the skills you have. And also the perseverance to fix it ALL.

Thank you, tbh I don't think my "skills" are that good, although definitely got better over time.

Good afternoon all, did a little bit more today

The spray rust encapsulation arrived so started with that is the hard to reach areas at the back under the car

then sorted out the little dent on the roof

then set to work on the filler on the rear wheel arch

added some seam sealer to the boot valence

after a lot of sanding
i managed to get the passenger lower window curve to start to look right and the rear wheel arch is nearly there

it is coming on, hopefully next week will see the end of the welding.... i hope so anyway

had a little bit of spare time, so sorted out the silver parts on the alternator

Today saw the end of the welding!!!! AT LAST! :D :lol: :shock:
I filled the tiny hole that was left on the passenger wing
then set about to working on the drivers wing
cleaned all the weather strip off and examined the rust

Started with arch part around the damaged hole

1991 340 1.7 GL, 64k, 5 door, petrol blue (Deep Blue).
1988 360 2.0 GLE, 140k, 5 door, ocean blue metallic (Blue Bess).

The weather has not been great so doing a little work on rebuilding the alternators
New bearings installed

Next was the underseal, the whole underside was done and the rear wheel arches, the front wheel arch were not done yet as the POR was not dry.

Then once home I did a bit more to the alternators, out of 4 I had 3 work.

Good evening all, a little more work on the alternators today, just taking them slow.

Put the remaining fasteners in but not tightened them down, need to tap the threaded holes yet.
Sprayed the remaining parts that erm missed the powdered coating.
Starting to come together.
