Theo's 340 1.7 G888UUD Quick Update
Well i picked this up sunday and im absolutely chuffed with it, i can say its the cleanest 300 ive ever owned!
ive done a few little bits and bobs to it, when its lowered i reckon it will look spot on!
i need some help too, what spoiler do i go for!? mk2 GLT, mk3 GLT, Saloon GLT or no spoiler? im liking the no spoiler look at the minute.
anyway lets show some pics! also im refurbing the wheel soon!

Guuuuud purchase!
Looks great on cups, the saloon lip spoiler might look good, I always seem to like mk3's with the GLT hatch one but I'm biased

That is clean! I'd go for no spoiler at all. Just how many have you got now?
Why does Cornwall always look like another country from up north? that pic at your house with the blue house and palm tree looks like Jamaica or soemthing

I'm with Chris - Mk3 - Mk3 Spoiler, without a doubt. Not so sure of it on the cups though, atleast not at that height

Wow Theo, the wheels make such a huge difference! Glad you're liking the car and I'll look forward to seeing it evolve further.
Don't know if I'm allowed give an opinion on the spoiler since I sold the car, but I personally prefer them without

Like sunroofs, I don't mind either way, if it's already got one. What I'm loathe to do, is stick holes in perfectly good bodies, so wouldn't make a hole to install a sunroof or holes to install a spoiler.

Haha, it certainly did but the rear has now been lowered. Sitting a lot better. Pics to come later.volvosneverdie wrote:Look lak a beach buggeh!
Also mark a few simple touches and ts looking lots better: blacked out headlights, wheels, bumper gel, GLT front spoiler and de wipered the tail gate.

But what if you've already got a spare red tailgate with a GLT spolier on? Hamacplaxton wrote:Like sunroofs, I don't mind either way, if it's already got one. What I'm loathe to do, is stick holes in perfectly good bodies, so wouldn't make a hole to install a sunroof or holes to install a spoiler.

No problem then. Change them as often as you like, depending on your mood.theo2468 wrote:But what if you've already got a spare red tailgate with a GLT spolier on? Ha

If youve got a spoilered tailgate, pop it on!

The saloon lip on the back might look quite nice However a glt 3 poster is the way to go for me
Looks like a brilliant car, good to see its in the hands of a proper enthusiast - as that price was well in 'tramp drift' affordability...
