Thank you Joris. It's a collection of paint, cement and dust for over 10 years. The chrome flakes had already bubbled and fell when i remove the lense. i did not dare to touch chrome. Looks so fragile.

Easily, if the petrol pump primes istelf OK.
1988 340 1.4 GL, 218k, 5 door (Grey Bess). Gone to CBA.
1991 340 1.7 GL, 64k, 5 door, petrol blue (Deep Blue).
1988 360 2.0 GLE, 140k, 5 door, ocean blue metallic (Blue Bess).
1989 340 1.7 GL, 108k, 3 door (Red Ness).

ok got it, it think i have a fuel pump issue. it's start and run and it stop while i'm driving. The fuel pump have funny sound..must the fuel pump not relay. Will find a replacement, can i modify from mercedece fuel pump ? the most compatible is from 940 because of the round size. Thanks Bog. FYI for the replacement rack, i still have issue , it woble at the end of the rack, rack end is ok but steel in the steering rack housing..this time i got a shop that can overhaul the steering rack.

On my first 360 the fuel pump gave up, it would drive fine for a while then cut out.
It then wouldn't start for about twenty mins.

I just replaced mine with a spare pump I had lying around from my brothers Audi 90 Quattro (the year was 198x)

Hi guys..is this better or the stock ? If i use this the fuel will flow sideway right? our's goes straight..which is better? This is from audi quartoo fuel pump, i google it, i can use back my old joint but it must have dirt and fuel composite. Is this part serviceable?

Those fuelpumps are used in many cars, try searching for a Bosch fuel pump. Just make sure it can support enough fuel and has the right hose fittings.

Yeah the quattro pump is a Bosch one which is why I used it, now that I think about it I might have swapped the brass connections at the end from the 360 pump onto the quattro pump

Hello again, this is the lesson that i got, always check the fuel pump relay before suspecting the fuel pump motor..turns out, the relay is not tighten enough.. and the battery head the ground side need to be tighten as well before test drive. :D now i got the orange running, very smooth with the replacement rack..do a bit of alignment and i can drive it safely now..hopefully it can last for another 5 or ten years. 340pw . Next phase is the engine part..I have think long to do this, i want to overhaul the entire engine. From start to end. Where do i start first? any advice and what tools do i need, and also what is the replacement part or kit that i should buy. Can i use head gasket, oil seal, from 240? my engine type is B200 that's all that i know. This will be a back and neck ache and lot's of oil spill. Volare 360

If the engine runs good, and has no faults, I would not touch it. Just the routine maintenance like, sparkplugs, cabels, rotor, distributor, oil, oilfilter and belts.
