Good evening all, the next update for you all.
13/07/2017
So i started off today by removing the wires and pipe to the engine and the bonnet, I removed the engine again, so the new release bearing and engine mounts could be installed, I am very glad i did, the bellhousing shaft was stuck in the flywheel bearing, i knew it was tight to get in, the only way to undo it was to remove the clutch housing bolts and after an hour of tugging an puling we got it apart with the bearing still attached to the bellhouse shaft, managed to pull the bearing out of the flywheel
I cleaned up the end of the shaft and sanded it down slightly, now it slides in to the bearing without issue.

reassembled the clutch and bell housing with the new release bearing.
Image20170713_124332 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

then put the engine back in the car and put the bonnet back.

moved on the the bulkhead and started to put the new bungs in, finally found some sleeved grommets, put the rear water hose through on and the extra wiring in another, i have ordered some more as the fan wiring grommet has fallen apart
Image20170713_143023 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

the wiring one still has some wire to go in so not finished that one off yet
Image20170713_143032 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

put the new oil filter on
Image20170713_143856 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170713_144207 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170713_144807 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

put the new fan cooler pipe
Image20170713_144810 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170713_145031 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170713_151147 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Hello All, I dont know how much longer i can get this pictures to show, I think i might do what Bog has done and make my own website... in due course.
It would appear that some of my pics can now not been seen on Flickr.
at my wits end with this as there are around 2000 pics to sort out each time this goes wrong.

anyhow
31/07/2017
Over the weekend I Met up with James who had got me a new windscreen from a GLE/GLT.

I would be interested to know what made a GLE/GLT instead of my GL?? anyone??

Fitted the new screen without any issue thankfully
Image20170731_093544 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

got some new parts which included brand new headlights, new hose clamps, a better set of electric wing mirrors, a new cover for the boot motor and a pair of rear door motors.
Image20170731_101318 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_101323 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170731_101335 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_101337 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Fitted the new headlight and grill
Image20170731_110251 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_110256 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_110301 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
SHINEY!!

fitted the boot cover, mainly so it was out of the way and didnt get broken
Image20170731_110400 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

fitted the new rotary arm
Image20170731_110535 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

and new dizzy cap and leads
Image20170731_111325 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Whats the firing order for the leads?

next i removed the rocker cover and pour a litre of oil over the head and also added some to the oil filter
Image20170731_111329 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
then filled her up with oil

next on the list was the hose clamps
Image20170731_120246 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_120252 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_120300 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

new fuel lines and clamps
Image20170731_122637 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

fitted the rear door motors, they still need to be wired in
Image20170731_134751 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_134805 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

next i set about trying to sort my wiring issues with my new relays
the timer relay for the rear heated windows was not working due to i managed to find a brown wire that was not an earth, re-earthed the wire and it now works great.
Image20170731_162631 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

the timed interior light, well i had wired it up fine, however on my wiring loom (one that did not have the relay there) has 3 wire block near the drivers door, the loom the relay socket came out of had 4 wire block, this was the issue, the drivers door pin earth switch was directly connected to the light and did not go through the relay, however the passenger door did, so cut the wire and re wired it to the relay and all works fine now.
Image20170731_162639 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170731_162650 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

next i added the new fuel line from the pump to the carb with the new fuel filter in place
Image20170731_172741 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

and then i decided that the last job of the day will be the snow cap :)
Image20170731_175403 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

i have only used a crimp so far for the door pin wire, i'll re pin the block when i can

I hope you can see these pics, if not let me know

Hello all, bit more work done over the last couple of days.
07/08/17

Image20170807_115009 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170807_122941 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

then the brake system was filled up and bleed, think it will need bleed again.
Image20170807_131644 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

this area needs a good clean too

next on the list was to sort the plug cables out so they fire in the right order
Image20170807_133514 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

it was then the rain started to come down, so i moved inside and carried on with seat assembly
Image20170807_154121 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170807_154135 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170807_154138 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

Image20170807_174954 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170807_183022 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

the seat took most of the day, but they are all back together now.

08/08/17
today was a big day, started off by going to get some fuel and putting it in her tank

removed all the spark plugs and cranked her over until fuel could be seen in the filter, then did a compression test, once that was done put the spark plugs back and connected the leads, then turned the key, she fired in to life
videos are here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0e1npngv9u3vm ... 6.mp4?dl=0
there was not exhaust on at this point
more videos after the exhaust was fitted, card needs a bit more setting up
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3rw1el5aejoj9 ... 8.mp4?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1qs18cf4il5xp ... 6.mp4?dl=0

next on the list was to paint up the windscreen trim and a few over bits
while they were drying i offered up the rear spoiler
Image20170808_115657 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

i then set about trying to sort out the little leak in the primary transmission unit, removed the offending piece and removed the gasket, then made a new gasket, this one was slightly thicker
Image20170808_125701 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170808_125907 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

after that i fitted the painted windscreen trim
Image20170808_135551 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr
Image20170808_135559 by Benjamin Charlton, on Flickr

as the day was coming to an end, i decided to tackle a bit more wiring, increase the length of the sensor wire so it would reach the new sender unit and then also ran a wire from the other terminal in to the car for the centre console gauges
