Keep up the great work. I can't remember your plans - are you an originalist?
1988 340 1.4 GL, 218k, 5 door (Grey Bess). Gone to CBA.
1991 340 1.7 GL, 64k, 5 door, petrol blue (Deep Blue).
1988 360 2.0 GLE, 140k, 5 door, ocean blue metallic (Blue Bess).
1989 340 1.7 GL, 108k, 3 door (Red Ness).

Well today was meant to be reassembling the rear axle, sadly the weather had other ideas. So today I had a tidy up of the car things and shrink wrap the parts to protect them then set about reassembling the cylinder head.

Hello all, today finally saw the rear axle reassembled, been a long time coming, but at last it was done :D
all the parts laid out ready to reassemble the rear brakes

the back plates copper greased up and the new wheel cylinder bolted down

new shoes and fitting kit used - all put back together looks good i think

The rear bakes offered up to the rear axle with the bearing carriers and lightly bolted up

Full rebuild in record time. 3D printing is pretty handy, I did the VSS holder in Tinkercad and extruded PLA was just a few quid for set up and about 50p per unit. What process did you use, I see <45degree shelves(impossible with extrusion?), looks HD and expensive.

The parts are being printed by a company, I have designed the part.
The part is printed to a high quality.

Wicked work. You've got me thinking that's why my handbrake is dodgy - I'm pretty sure one of those things is missing. I don't think I ever knew what it was!!
