I had thought about the big trims, but I don't have a set for a 5 door, but I do have a set of the thin trims which I think will look nicer.
Not sure mind you

re: chrome strip - looks nice and you don't want it to look too murdered out. My theory is that we'll be having this discussion about Honda Jazzes in a few years but mchudd threatened to end it all now.

Saw a lovely murdered-out 940 estate today - even the lettering at the back was blacked-out. Mental.

Hello, I had a bash at making a pdf version of this thread. The quality is a bit rat-faced if you zoom in too much, but it looks not too bad from a distance.
https://www.adrive.com/public/S7u5Wx/16367_screen.pdf
Warning, its 40 MB and 933 pages. Any comments welcome on improving quality, any missing bits (some pictures really are missing), etc. I had to down-size the pictures a couple of times but they are still way-bigger than the text. I tried to prettify it for printing via a web service, but that started missing out pictures, so ditched that option although it would have been good if it had worked! Anyhow, I think what I have looks semi-OK ;-?
HTH to preserve a great thread!!

Yo, I did manage to prettify it a bit with teh PrintWhatYouLike Chrome extension and made a mobile-friendly version.

It don't look too bad really, do it?? Eh? Eh?

Only 1359 pages, but its smaller than the previous one.

Well, I've done the whole forum - I am a bit of a backup freak. Your thread was a special case because the excellent pictures are (very rightly) much bigger than A4. You can follow things here:
forumbackup.blogspot.com
I'll send copies to anyone interested when it's ready. Almost there. It'll be about 8 GB so will need to be posted, I think.

I've put it:
here. It now has some tweaks that should improve it a bit and has been virus-checked!
It took 1.5 hours to upload to Google Drive after midnight, so I would allow a similar amount of time for downloading and it'll probably take about the same amount of time to unzip it! Its best to use a text searching program like
recoll (small donation for Windows) or
docfetcher (free), etc, to make an index of the pdf files in the resulting folder (v3m), which takes about another hour, and then your subsequent searches will be pretty much instantaneous. More info on the
blog. Do let me know of any issues, suggestions and also if you just download a copy, then I will know who has a backup in case my hard disk dies. If a few people could possibly test it, I might post the link in one of the general threads if there is any sort of interest at all ;-?
