1981 GL...& 1989 DL

Hi here is my 1981 volvo 345gl, its done approx 60k , 1 owner car, factory standard.. I'm keeping it as original as possible..
main issues to sort are bodywork dent repairs which will be done this spring. a new wing..a little welding to the front inner arches, repair a slightly scabby front valance. and sort out the mileometer..

with a new clutch the car drives very nicely. original 4-speed box is good.. Wont be winning many drag races, but i have other cars for that

Its all road worthy. And surprising the amount of waves and smiles i get with the car..will post more pics as and when.

My son has a 1989dl, which drives and we have 5 years to restore before he is legal to drive it...its not in bad shape...interior had been stripped, but has gone back to near standard..- many thanks to Mark in NI for some important bits !

I rally like that green colour and it looks like a solid example too. What are the plans for the blue one?

Thanks, the blue one will hopefully be made roadworthy over the coming years...it does run and drive, needs a bit of body work and has a cracked screen...

That '81 car looks lovely, it brings back some memories as my Dad had one just like it in the mid 90's.

It looks late 81 - 82. My Banana is early 81 with a different front end.

Steve, my parents has one exactly the same as well lol...

DVLA states year of manf 1981, it was registered Nov 81..

some of the paperwork that came with the car stated the one previous owners date of birth as 1923 lol,

Love that colour and wish they hadn't changed the interior for the facelifts.
