Lower, wider, faster and more agressive is the plan mate. With a couple of touches. Nothing crazy as I don't care that much for body mods anymore. 340pw

Thumbs up.
Pump up the aggressive.

It already frightens families with its parking noises. 8)

I decided I was sick of needing two barrels to operate the car.

The 360 one had already had it's electrics moved over to the 940 barrel, it just served as a steering lock.

I hacksawed/chiseled the OE barrel off the colum - fun. If I could have gotten a drill in I would drilled out the bolts. If I had no windows to protect I would have used a grinder. Hand tools it had to be lol.
Wit the intention (although I knew it wasn't very likely) of it looking quite similar to the 940 barrel when removed.

This was not the case lol

I had utilised a mk1 Fiesta steering boss I had lying around to allow me to fit the deep dish wheel I have, as it turns out me £3 Halford boss wasn't for a Pug 205 but we won't let that stop us lol. Plus, it looked the same as my mates, so that's my excuse. I never intended using it on this car, but then I never intended fitting a turbo motor or having quite as much fun as it can provide on occasion lol.

A trip to Ronnies was in order, and the OE wheel from my 360 was in for a shock.

Nearly there. The polystyrene centre was a surprise to both of us.

Thanks for the boss Mr OE wheel. You have been good to me - except for when I occasionaly catch the horn after straightening up after a skid. Infact. fcuk you lol.

My harsh words to the steering wheel must have hurt it's feelings, either that or Ronnies dog has been watching Firestarter. [insert shocked face emoticon here]
As whilst the boss was being turned down in Rons lathe the wheel suddenly became more interesting.
Image
OMG

Then the horn buttons tuned on us so needed to be restrained.
Image
Image
 Ok maybe not. It's just fun to smash and burn things sometimes. You know the score lol.

I hacksawed off the steering lock from the 940 barrel at the same time as Ronnie lathing up some magic.

Image
The finished win.

I have also rehomed the barrel and fitted my titanium Nismo gearknob for m0ar longa driftz y0

Another crap update from yorus truly lol. Thanks again R0nald. (Y)

Why was it necessary to use the 940 ignition switch? My 95 daily 940 doesn't have anything special I was aware of, is the 96 one different? I'm also using a 96 donor for the 360.

I wouldn't know of any differences between the 95-96 940 mate. Surely both have transponder chips?

The 940 ign switch is far superior to the 360 job IMO.

I dislike the spade connections for the electrics and the fact it only has one accessory position.Must be a mk2 thing? Not to mention it was easier to switch the 2/3 wires over from the 360 switch than the 8 or so (guess) from the 940.

Plus I would rather have just the one key to start the car. I originally intended to run the pick up ring on the 360 barrel or in the vicinity and have the 940 key (or at least it's chip) on my keyring.

No point IMO. This is a better solution all round.

Good timing on your reply mate lol.

Nah it's still being SORNed in a month as the 'big 3' all expire around the same time. As for the boss, I'm not sure but I think this one may be deeper? I'm yet to drive the car with it on but it looks to have brought the wheel a lot closer than I was expecting. Score.

Then I can get some work done on it. You making the Rhyhope meet on Sunday dude? I'll be there in the morning, and back for the match of course.

Ha'way the lads! :D

Quick reply lol. Quoted before my text addition.

Sounds a plan mate. I've always wanted a look around the pumping house. The off camber roundabout outside is awesome on greasy days too lol.

As is Cherry Knowles nut house. Good Urb Ex place with a couple abandoned cars. I haven't been in there in years. Scary place! :o :D
