Re: The LOLvo
Love this car. Any pics of it with the Turbines? Think they'd really suit it!

Re: The LOLvo
This is truly epic, an almost near identical version of my motor
which is yet to see the light of day.
would be very interested in hearing about the 2.0 ltr leguna crank mod, and the reco prop. as they were both something I was looking into myself
great project dude. keep it updated for us.
haha, I don't know how I missed this, but obviously this is the husky racer 340 isn't it?

Re: The LOLvo
Haha cheers mate!
I'm gonna be honest I don't know much about it apart from that it's from a 2.0 f3p engine the reco-prop is a custom item, and yes it's the husky racer
When I do the exhaust I'll take some pics of the prop for you mate

Re: The LOLvo - engines back in
The head was repaired and the manifold re-welded, I painted the block, inlet, rocker cover and all the brackets and bolted it in last night.

Poly engine and gearbox mounts before I bolted it back in, lunchtime today I fitted the manifolds, turbo oil drain and feed.
Will get some new turbo nuts tomorrow and get that bolted down.

I also wrapped the down pipe, which is hanging under the turbo, and made a list of all the exhaust sections I need

Re: The LOLvo

Today i bolted the turbo on properly and fitted the downpipe. Also, the thermostat housing i needed to replace turned up today. Managed to find it at a small volvo breakers in south london.
Happy days
madseb its wrinkle vht mate. Easy to work with and you can control the shape/size of the wrinkles by either baking it or leaving it to air dry for a few days.

Re: The LOLvo
You would be better off with the 340 one so that you can use the 340 hose. The 340 one is a 90 elbow to clear the heater box.

Re: The LOLvo
I did think that but to be fair this one fits fine. The hose is a right angle so clears the heater box fine
Re: The LOLvo - 3/3/14
Tried the turbines on today and to be fair they look pretty awesome. Just need to work out spacers as they sit in quite far. The more I look at these the more they are growing on me
Unsure as to exactly what I'm gonna go with, as ash is painting the pink wheels atm but I'll decide once they are back and have tyres on.
