Oh, ok :( ha ha, farynuff lad!

Chris, I found a load of stuff on the "raised bonnet" argument when I searched, but nothing was or has ever been proven. Just the same arguments for and against. I understand what your saying though, and the principle of it too. Guess the only way to prove/disprove would be the old wind tunnel test. Shame my uni hasn't got one big enough!

That metal and bolts cost me diddly squat, so I haven't lost anything financially at least.

Having something you like the look of is more than worth the difference, I don't run a kit on Fake because it makes it faster ;) If you really want to do a test, lots of little bits of string make a great wind tunnel...

I've been working in Clifton Village for the past two weeks, i saw your Volvo pulling out of a side turning and go up the hill past Tesco, looks cool in the flesh :D

I excitedly said to my work mate :? , ooh i know that car from the internet, to which he laughed and called me a sad bastard

Whats the matter with the car i'm driving can't you tell that it's out of style?

ha ha, Didnt cross my mind, and the red blocks from the 360 series aint it? Also, it was easier for me to find one, as I have a mate who deals regularly with clios. That and there are a shed load of tuning parts available of the shelf, and I dont have the skills (yet  ) to fab up lots of stuff.

It has begun . . . .

Awesome. Yesterday saw me disconnecting everything not needed on the 1.4, removal of the MK2 ARB, rad removal (colour of the coolant was freaking terrible), and cleaning. Today sees the fuel lines, pump, speed sensor and anything else I can do without an engine to be done. Other bits should start arriving tomorrow, so I should have the engines swapped by the weekend . . . we'll see.

Also took loads of pictures for the how to.

Watch this space!
