There's a load more pics on my site with random bits of suspension with calipers held against them for when we can't get hold of OEM bits, but I won't spam the forum any more than I normally do!

Still can't get over how it's squared the front end up... even though it's common sense! I really thought the subframe was bent

Thats superflex superlube ;) Dai used to put some in with bush kits (but as those have been on the shelf nearly 3 years I can't promise he still does!)

Magnum, the only issues you should have are on the cottol reel shaped one on the wishbone. Best thing you could do with is a piece of tube wider that the bush to pull it into (the large socket I have there is 1 1/4" and not deep enough or wide enough) when extracting the old one. Extract the metal inner tube first, then pull carefully knife off the end of the rubber cotton reel so its easier to pass through the wishbone and use threaded bar to extract that. Then offer up the new one, threaded bar it up tight and just wiggle it lots to settle, couple of turns on the nut and wiggle again and continue till it's in. The repeat with the new inner tube.

All the other bushes are really easy, wire brush the threads on the bolts, nuts with crack off instantly (only if you clean the threads though ;)) and slot them on like a kebab!

That's a track rod end rubber right? I'm after a couple of these, where can I source them?

edit: Right, Dai, silly question.

I would call that a tie rod (one end thereof!). Track rods are, to me, the things on each end of the steering rack. Yes, Dai is your man.

cheers

track rod to me is the thing you adjust to change your tracking. Probably an Americanism I've picked up. From the pic I can see where this is on the car so it is what I meant :)

Are we on the same page here...I mean I was about to write the following...
Well I suppose it could also be called a "track control arm"...but...it's not adjustable. I agree that you call the adjustable bit the track rod...but that's on the end of the rack...this thing is fixed! I guess you could influence the tracking angle slightly by adjusting the torque on the nut, but it's not how you're supposed to set the tracking.
...but it feels almost insulting to point out where you set the tracking...so I'm thinking maybe I misread your post...?

I'm confused sm56
