Re: Anjo's Project Car: 1986 340GT Special, B14Turbo
they are, but to look reaaaaally good the entire car has to drop another 3" all around making the tires allmost scrape the fenders. with a twinleaf rear setup that's nearly impossible and the classicswede 250lb springs i have on the front allready have 3" lowering so 6" doesn't leave any spring
13" is too small but oo so much more fun if you're drifting a stock B14:lol:
with the bodykit in mind and as it allready scrapes holland's fantastic speed bumps
i think i'm gonna stick to 15", especcially since that is the minimum rim size for my all round disk conversion

they do look cool but 15s are they way forward alto easer than lowering it but it would be nice
and your 15s look rely cool and i dont noramly like non dishy type wheels

bonnet:

photo was taken right after spraying the clear coat, can't wait till it's hardened to see it on the car

it must be the pink wheelnuts then
the wellers look nice, but aren't that practical. everything scrapes and i even got myself stuck yesterday, i needed a jack to roll the car off to get the car moving again
it does make the stock B14 more fun, 3rd gear wheelspin woehoew!

let it snow let it snow let it snow!
we've only had 1 inch of snow but it was still enough to do some snowdonuts in the evening

@ 26sec = full throttle in 4th gear

also some big news engine wise, involving CNC and stainless goodness; more of that later on

winterfun + curb =

fixed it with a hammer, unfortunatly the tire didn't survive the procedure so it's flat after a day.
quite a lot of snow here for holland's standards:

and finally some progress on the turbo engine
drew a pair of flanges:

and here they are, lasercutted out of 12mm stainless steel.

so hopefully next update will involve a shitload of TIG welding, spaghetti and stuff

prepped the manifold flange for welding

and into the dishwasher for de-greasing

next is the actual TIG welding, forming the round pipe to the oval ports, CNC milling the flange to smoothen out the surface and, the merge collector; wich will be a true pain in the ass to fabricate i think
