1800 F7P 16v Conversion (Updated 10/09/07)
Jani, Kev has got rid of his car, Mark Higgins is still playing silly sods from his post the other day though!
Adam, Awesome work as ever dude, nice one. I might be talking to you about this soon, I need a quicker rally car, tempted to drop either this on a R19 lump into Fake, havn't looked into it yet, so have no idea of the differences between them.

Hmm, right then hmm, there is still few to defend honour of beloved 360, shall no 340 reach to level of 360 neverChris_C wrote:Jani, Kev has got rid of his car, Mark Higgins is still playing silly sods from his post the other day though!

360 has problem, it is heavy engine and heavy torque tube, so 340 is lighter to start with indeed and provides certainly great amount of performance, like this renault 1.8l engines have shown, makes great pair.

Nice work Adam - I bet that's as quick as Foggys 360, if not quicker as it's a) lighter, and b) a better power band. It'll also be more economical too!
Btw, are you going to change your username to '340R'?

well at the risk of being shot down in flames - 340 1.7 weigh in just under the ton - 360 about 1070 kgs - so theres not much in it - those renaults love to rev , but i cant but help theyve not much torque low down , so maybe 0-40- or 50 it might be a dead heat .
SO - has anybody looked at the gearing of 16v clio and the 340 to see how wide the ratios are ?

Adam is running the 1.4 diff ratio, which will help a fair bit. Then again, so will I, shortly...

The Renault F5 (B20F) has loads of low down torque - not so sure about the 16 valve lump though.
James time get let the gasses out And you could be in with a winner.
Nice work Adam - what next??????
