Cheers J, I've been playing with it this morning, and it idles but at about 2000rpm with no choke. I'll have to adjust things a bit more and see if I can get it to sit at 1000 or so.

WHO NEEDS CHOKE?! :D couple pumps on throttle, fire up and keep reving for minute or two..
Have you syncronised the carbs?

All sorted now, got the mixture correct, back onto 58 idle jets and fettled the throttle return. Yeah mate, it felt awesome. Even better though, I've just driven it round to the MOT shop and booked it in for 10am tomorrow. It's hard not to spin the 195/15s! :mrgreen:

You can't fail (only advice) car on noisy exhaust, as long as You got 1 silencer and exhaust is not leaking..
