Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.

Re: progress thread
well espescially with a set of harder springs they'll give away soon, and trust me; a front wheel diving into the top of the wheelarch at motorway speed is 9/10 times the cause of a lot of bodywork damage.. at v3c 2 people had the same thing over this winter, both cars were write off's
Re: progress thread
where would the best place to go be??
wouldnt i be able to paint it the that "rust buster" then weld a strengthening plate over it? (onlt a quick idea of the top of my head)

Totally agree, I'd be fixing that before driving it!

Looks cool though buddy, red 2 doors = win
Re: progress thread
Its not as bad as the pictures make out, there is rust in the area but the picture makes it look like there is more than is actually there
It will still need to be sorted as you said because I'm running harder springs, would like to get it running and working before I go on to make it full proof.

Re: progress thread
Dude in the photo you can see through the cup. There is only supposed to be one hole around 8mm diameter in the cup. I really would take the advice of others and replace the cup. You can buy a new seat from hadrian body panels and have it welded on.samueljon wrote:Its not as bad as the pictures make out, there is rust in the area but the picture makes it look like there is more than is actually there
