Ouch. If that's the 360 I'm thinking of, that hurts quite a bit sm16

I wondered about an SR20 conversion, surprised no one i know of had done it sooner to be honest. Frick loada work though. It might be a little sacralidge, but look at all the AE86s and KE70s etc with SR20s and S2K engines. That'll be bloody quick!

It's not - I think the pic was used as an example, check the registration of the build car, it's an F plate. Awesome looking build, and the SR20 is a nice lump! Cage is interesting though, not convinced on the rear strut bar being welded to the arch skins and it's also way too low for harness mounting - AFAIK the straps should be horizontal.

They said the same thing at Turbo Bricks. :P

Cages are such things which I would do by the book because if a cage is improperly designed it can cause more damage than good if you flip the car.

ahh this is a good find, anyone chucked s13 running gear in aswell? i was pondering about this... the volvo is only 150mm shorter wheelbase, if that i can't remember what it was when i looked into it with some detail. currently looking for a rotten s13 myself :P
would require some massive forestry arches off an escort though

Why would you want to do that... the CA18 likes to eat big end bearings for breakfast  I'd rather use a turbo'd Volvo redblock than one of them ;)

SR20DET a different story...:)

Volvo's redblock seem to be generally an underrated engine among the (300-series) drifting scene for some reason even though every other motorsport section from rally to +1000hp drag cars uses it as a base. :P

200-series drift scene is another thing.. 8)

Still something different anyways so props for that. I hope that the interior parts and possible rare accessories don't go to waste bin! :P

Marko, that is true; but you know just as good what is nescassary to get a redlbock to +1000hp, or even reliable around 400bhp... even M-rods start to strugge with tuning to above 250bhp
a SR20DET can throw out 400bhp+ with a few bolton and commonly available parts (compared to redblock relativly cheap; much more nissan tuning in the market), and it will stay in one piece for a long time.

to me the only pointless thing in this build is all that work into a nissan engine swap, and maitaining the 360's original drivetrain :? i'd personally strongly reconsider that and preferradly use the nissan gearbox and rear wheel drive / suspension; the guy definatly knows how to weld so what's holding him back from using a setup that will take a lot more...
also not convinced about the cage, though the horizotal member between the rear arches is on a FIA spec height to use as harness mounting bar.
