Nice work, I would be worried about the cup, (sorry :( )

Great news. The cup, yes, I'd get the welded up. As for the ARB link, was that like that when you got it? If so, ffs

Luckily i have a friend with a welder. So I'll just get the holes welded over, saves swapping a whole strut.

& yes, it was like that when I got it

That ARB link has just made me spill my coffee!!! What a leg-end.

And yes, that cup needs sorting ;)

Almost there..

Just a speed sensor to fit (thanks adam) and an alarm i found in my shed. should all be easy enough

After a £250 quote to fit a middle box and an exhaust hangar, I'm thinking of alternatives ;)
One silencer doesn't seem to be enough - it's crazy loud. I have a friend with a welder, prob just buy a universal box and get him to add that in somewhere. It's all a bit tricky with the prop right next to it though. Spose I could always swap the rear box for a bigger one

Update..

Out with the old (which incedentally had a huge hole in covered up by the metal band around it)

A quick 'tweak' ;)

And in with the new

It's a gxsr 600 end can. Much much quieter now. And it's a bolt on fitment, so if I get bored I can just bolt a race can on

Also bolted the ecu down better cos it managed to work it's way loose.

Jobs left to do - fit the speed sensor (thanks Adam) , fit an alarm , and weld up the rusty bit on the suspension cup.

It's way way quieter than the shitty thing that was on there. It was stupidly loud before

Hi, er do I know you? You seem to live in the same area my car came from?

It's getting there now, after a lot of work.
I have a speed sensor and an alarm, just a bit of welding to do (suspension cup and a weird square hole that was gouged in the floor)

Still finding bodges though :( , this time it's the steering column..

Interesting way to attach an indicator stalk lol

Rear can looks good. No wonder it was chuffing loud. As for the steering column to stalk bodge, mine has snapped at the top there. It's pretty weak plastic. It looks nasty, but holds it on ok  Could have been a lot neater. Sorted the battery drain?

Battery drain.. oh yes ages ago. It's buried in this thread somewhere.

Wanna know what is was? previous owner attached the ignition live to a permanent live. So the ecu was on all the time.
Lucky nothing burned out really
