bit of an update that needed putting up about a month ago but not had time,
stripped out the sound deading

Image
pretty clean and only found 1 small hole.

then fitted a cheap set of buckets as the standard volvo ones offered no support at all!
Image

cars still on standard suspension till i can afford some proper adjustbles, and was obvs very soft and bouncy, stumbled across these sierra 4x4 springs and got thinking they seem much thicker and stiffer than the volvo ones, so took one of my springs off to see if they fitted and they did :D couple of coils off so they matched the front and it was all good and alot stiffer
Image
volvo ones on left (sure the owner before me had put 340 springs on, so soft and thin),
Image,
i got a set of landi shocks for the back till i have the cash for proper ones, and i know there not ideal but its only on track and stiffened it up abit, deffo need changeing asap but compared to my first drift day it was miles better and lead to things like this:

then this
Image
and abit of this
Image .

all in all a good two days drifting, next up is to get my hydro fitted, an extra fan to aid with my cooling problem, o and sort that fucking oil pipe out after it decided to pop out again, luckly it waited till i was at home and not drifting

cheers

Looking good :D Suspension sorted and this will be a real goodun. I'll be honest, I've got front adjustables which are lovely but I never ever use them! Just get the 3" lowering springs and perhaps standard new shocks. If the front was any stiffer on mine I reckon I'd end up in the wall.

Rear adjustables are very useful though

Depends on your definition of never using them guys! I would put money on the setting that Speedy has set is "more damping" than a standard off the shelf set of 300 dampers. Just because he never varies from that setting, doesn't mean he's not using the adjustable, just that he has got his "perfect" setting that wouldn't be available with normal dampers.

I hardly ever adjust my adjustables, because I set them up as I like them when I first got them and now they are correct for me. The only time I do is when going from tarmac to grass/gravel.

Yes exactly - my perfect setting is actually 0 on the front adjustables. It has dampening at 0 unlike the rear ones. I'm willing to play with that a bit more when it's back on the road :)

I'm guessing he means the bit under the engine that the wishbones/steering rack is bolted to.
