was fitting the crossmember today and noticed a problem with a power steering pipe, cannot belive im still finding problems caused by the previous fuck up! (i mean owner sm2 ), looks like some daft bastard has rounded the fitting off that goes into the rack and then cut a line in it and put a screw driver in and hit it loose causeing the pipe to leak, could be wrong but at least he put it back tight unlike every other nut and bolt on the car lol

well the cars now sat back on its own wheels after hours of laying on the drive swearing, not test drove it yet though and theres a knocking noise when turning the wheel lock to lock so that should be fun

Havent had alot of time to work on the car but got the manual rack on and mounted etc, just gotta go pick a belt up tomorrow.

Also picked up some CS damper inserts and springs with some parts i just got, the adjuster seems to not turn at all on one of them, i only bought them cos they are shorter though and i was running on chopped springs, maybe fixable?

Not managed to finish it all off though because one of the top mount bearings has destroyed its self so gonna order 2 on monday and get it all built up. If all that dosent sort my steering issue out im lost

Is they adjuster just stiff or spinning loose? If loose then it needs rebuild as someone will have forced teh adjuster. If just stiff spray some thin oil down the tube and use to tool provided to adjust.

Feels stiff but sorta feels likee it wants to sprig back, how muct is ite adluster meant to turn mate? Are they hard to rebuild? I will oil them some more and try and adlust them when i get them on the car.

If it feels like the rod is twisting then it must be on the limit. Try turning other way.

Are you ever like to get near sunny wales?

After abit of lube they both move, how far shoult they turn? Ie half a turn, full turn, 5 turns? Could be going drifting at anglsey or going with a mate in the futher.

Whent drifting at buxton at the weekend, car seemed better without the pas and tbh didnt feel more heavy atall, and had no problems with the springs moveing about this time :D slightly lower on the front so need to rais the exhaust abit, hopefully theres some pics somewere

Cheers
