I've got some VDO ones about. I also have a very early 440 set that can be used to convert the 340 to a 140MPH spedo

ha ha! Would be cool to have a speedo that goes up to 140mph regardless of whether it would reach it or not. Bragging rights right there!

Time for a proper update with some work actually done and with pictures i do spoil you lot
first up was to reattach the middle of the exhaust after one of the rubber do-nuts snapped no pictures of them as there boring
the second job a bit more into the drift world which was to remove the rubber rings that limit the steering rack travel ive wanted to do this since owning a 300 but when running 15x7 et35 they rubbed on standard full lock so never saw they need
but now im running 13x4.5j et25 gangster specs  there is shed loads of room so here goes a little write up on how to do it
firstly get the car in the air safely so you can get to the steering rack boots unclip both ends and slide the boot down the track rod you should end up with this staring back at you
Image
that black plastic ring next to the inner track rod ball joint is what we want to remove to gain more lock i simply cut it off with a Stanley knife and side cutters so you should then end up with this
Image
stick the boot back over with some cable ties to hold it in place and job done you dont even have to get it re tracked and you gain this much lock not bad for 5mins work and not touching a spanner
Image
job number 3 was to adjust the handbrake it had gone slake no pictures for that one again sorry
and while i had the rear tyres off i thought i would try on some new drifts rims id been given just to ckeck they fitted
dam im so glad i did try them as 4 of them didnt fit a combo of et49 and 175s made it touch the damper bolt not good
lucky ive got 4 other rims i can transfer the near mint tyres over to woop
job number 5 give it a good clean after all the road grit that had been chucked on the road to stop it rusting even more
cant wait till summer so i can paint it all white again
Image
and thats it fellas apart from driving it ive got no other updates enjoy

what was the plastic ring for in the first place is it a dampener or maybe something to stop the rack from locking up at the end.
(must have a purpose)
