The 2.3 8v only gives you about 10hp more, it's not really worth it really :(

I'd save up and do the 2.3 Turbo swap :D

true but the bigger displacment will be better for the bike carbs aswell so i imagen the 2.3 on bike carbs will be around 120-130bhp which is all i really want as this is just a run about/something to have some fun with

Yeah I'm considering it myself but not sure if it fits in the budget. If a breaker came up locally maybe I could justify it

I had an engine swapped 340 before which was great but cursed with electrical gremlins (sensors) that I never got to the bottom of. So I'm a little against injection engines right now

well so far my carb conversion has cost me ...£2.14 and that was for 2 1.7mm drill bits :L
inlet got for free
carbs got for fitting discs and pads to my mates car so going great so far
yeah i know the feeling i converted my focus from a 1.8 to a 2.0 on itb's and a bunch of other stuff around 180-190 bhp fantastic to drive loads of power even up at 7,800 didnt run out of puff :L
but that was a nice thing to wire up only a few sensors and extras like launch control and flat to floor shifting but im gonna stick with the carbs on the volvo for simple sakes after all its just a run about

Coming along nicely! Was this the GLS from carandclassic? Looked pretty tidy but I couldn't work out if it was just the light or whether the drivers wing was a different shade!?

A 2.3 swap is an 'easy' upgrade for a carbed 360, surprised more people don't do it!

Cool. Love the carbs mate. Should sound great! Reminds me of what mine looked like (same colour and model).
