Hello and welcome 340pw

It's a broad church here, so you'll find owners that'll share an interest in the modified side of things.

Boot lock is either a clip or pin (can't remember which), do a forum search, should be fixable, rather than needing parts (keep the same key then). Before diving in and welding the diff, it might be an idea to get one that's already been welded? (It's not like there is a massive sea of certain parts floating around for 21 y/o plus cars.)

(And to fellow beardies, what do we say? - another one bites the dust) sm50

Been on that link, it's that boot lock but the but that sticking out with the hook on which pulls the catch up is the bit that's snapped off.

The plastic insert in the hole in the arm, or the metal arm itself?

I've got a crappy plastic insert in mine, that like to let the rod pop out every now and then, necessitating a climb into the back of the car to release it from the inside.

Hi Tom.
I have a front grill for one of them.
Looks like the motor will clean up well.
Good luck.
Mark.
