Does sond like something is out, could just be the filters though. Just another quick line of thought have you tried blocking off the servo pipe and see if it runs any better.
If you think the renix is at fault then why not use a 240 dizzy etc.

Guess what's on the way ;) In fact, your old man offered me a B23E dizzy, but I think I'm all sorted on that front.

I think you're bang-on there with the filters. There's a kinda gurgling/almost banging sound that goes on with very light throttle - but it's just the sound they make.

Since you have a K cam too Jani, you really want the dizzy with the weights to match - from a 80-83 (I think) B23E.

Blocking off the vac line to the Renix seems to make little difference. I'm increasingly agreeing with Husky that it's just pump jets, especially since I've been told the car stinks after heavy throttle usage, and the economy shoots up disproportionately with steady-throttle work (e.g. on't motorway).

My new ignition system....B23E dizzy, MSD 6A module, MSD blaster coil...the list goes on ;)

cheers

I don't see reason to change dizzy as I don't need any vacuum or centrifugal adjustments in it, I just map ignition with megasquirt, this little box will take care of advance by watching rpm and vacuum, I can set any value I like. Just need few parts first :P

I'm not sure but I feel like I have lost some power from my first install, maybe it is just that I have adjusted to increased power and wish to have more, but still I feel that car is not accelerating as fast as it was before. Need to do power test soon, that will tell what it really is.

DUH! Of course...sorry! Silly me...

I'm 90% certain you've just got used to it. The first time I drove my car out of my road (where I'm used to quickly accellerating to 30mph), I was shocked...almost stunned at the difference. Now...it feels slow again - with 36% more power!

cheers
