Few weeks ago i found this decent 360 hatch i will convert into my new racer this season. When i will lift over the engine and other bit from the current car i'm not yet sure (end of the season would be smartest)
Anyway here a few low res photo's for now
----
building some new stuts and new lowering spring got the from classicswede!

--As far as i can see only the back window had been thrown in with a bottle of Heineken.
Now its not my favourite beer but this person must have haten dutch stuff allot
Dutch build car and dutch brewed beer just dont mix
---
Today i replaced the hatch on the car for a older MK model, at least it fits
---
Cleaned out all the interior and started to take out the insulation on the roof and the floor.
Took off the tow hook also, getting lighter
---
Nothing nicer then coming home from a day at the office and to strip some more stuff off the car
---
Got a spoiler that goes on the old style tailgate, all the mountingpoinnts where rusted out. Perfect moment to do some weight reduction.. that thing was heavy before i started taking all the rust out!
Not i have to figure out how to mount it back, maybe just bolt/pop it and allot of kit
--
Gave all the interoir stuff away and traded 2 struts for a piece of plastic that goes on the back
--
Bought rollbars!
Trew them in the car, i deceided to sand them down first, then i tought maybe i should clean them, while they are clean might as well paint them.
Took them to the garage and started paiting, offcourse i did not change my workclothes, then i hit the bars with my shoes and pants and decided i will do the rest tomorrow

Have some issue's in getting the lowering springs from classic swede in the strut.
It always goes sideways and i seem to be on the max of the treat already.
Should i secure the spring somehow to keep it from going wrong or falling out?
--
The back is been overhauled with some koni;s
--
Used the press of the neighboring garage to put in the PU bushings i got from Dai (Classicswede)
I wonder how much of a difference this will make on the leafs
--
Racing pins got in the mail today when i got home, so i took a moment to throw them on the car

--
Fresh bearing grease, 6CM lowering blocks and PU leaf springs installed!
--
Cut out some crispy bits, there are only to bad spots worth mentioning, thats pretty good for a dutch 360

No pics of welded in steel it was late and i was tired

--
My dad worked some magic a few days ago, completly rusted out part now restored.

-
got a new fresh subframe from Ruben and JW240 (thanks!) and took the old struds of the racer and recoated them, for now i will run the 4CM lowering springs from classicswede as the new one wont fit the non short struds Koni's. I hope before the first race i will have the short struds from classicswede so i can run 6CM lowering.

Getting there, also now with powder coated red arms

--
Steeringrack back on, all the bolts back and the wheels are on. Pulled the engine and popped the windschield to find more rust then we hoped for. we have less than one month to get the car ready... jikes!
--
Pulled the windshield to fix the little rust spot. turns out it was a little bigger.
Also destroyed one of the threats when pulling the subframe. A member of the Volvo300mania in the UK provided me with some hardware to resolve this! Thanks!

another Saturday spend well, Injection engine back, new downpipe, some welding and the rollbar testfitted
