Ovlov 340GL 0.79€/L

Looks like the 340 fever has come to stay.
It's my second car ever, and again a 340
It may be the slowest car i've ever driven, but i really like them, owning one is interesting.

My first one:

I've always been a drift/rwd whore, so i had to buy a rwd. Despite the low power engine, mine was even lower due to air leaks, exhaust leaks, all type of shit :D i managed to have a lot of fun as much as it rains!
The car is really decent.
I made this video in a previous touge, chasing a 200sx. Worth a watch.

So, 2nd chapter of my ovlov life.
I found this one for sale, 6km away from my home, also LPG (have to be!!), mint condition but with a blown head gasket. Managed to take him away for 235€ Cheap car. Despite the problem, engine runs fine, everything works!!! (really not like my 1st one), gearbox is so much in better condition, all cool, loved it! I'm just waiting for the gasket kit to arrive and get some spare money and fix the gasket issue.

Pics.

Long time with no updates.
The car is already in the road since the past saturday, 19th July.
Head gasket was replaced with all the other gaskets, head skimmed, water pump, thermostat, belt, oil and coolant, all fixed, but due to the blown head gasket, the 2 mid cylinders have a " spot ", it made some damage, lets see how it handles. I hope it lasts long.
The car is running fine, already done 400km this week, it is been used daily.

The steering is heavy and make some clunking noises when maneuvering, could be the steering rack bent or something? Steering wheel shakes a lot when going over 95kmh.

For the shaking steering wheel you should get your wheel alignment checked as mine 1st 360 shook over 80kmh and if you went over 100kmh it would actually hurt my wrists it was that bad.

Heavy steering, someone on here will know is it the strut top mounts that sag causing heavy steering?

The interior on your 340 looks so good, I've never seen seats like that before.

Tracking would be the first thing to check for the shaking.

For the stiff steering the most likely is the strut top mounts, then the top mount bearings. The other think that can cause it is stiff ball joints and track rod ends. Poor tracking can also cause issues.
Yes a damaged rack will cause stiff steering but you would need to suspect there has been an impact to consider that.
