This is the piston that the foundry did. Scrapped of the rust on the edge of the caliper, and it fits perfectly..

Hello chaps..

A little update..modified brake hose. Made from flame resistant material..hose is suitable for all types of oil and fuel..but the caliper side nut is slightly longer..i think it won't do no harm. Now..all left is to asseble it back..

Hello all, quick question, can I replace left hand side brake calliper with right hand side? The only difference is the brake hose hole..it will face backward.

Thanks

No you can not. Try bleeding one when the bleednipple is on the bottom.

The flexi pipe will need to be longer as it will point out towards the ground at the bottom of the caliper. You could bleed it the right way up then assemble it on the car. The pipe would have to be done up first to get it positioned right, then the caliper removed, then bled making sure the pistons don't come out.

I don't know if heat percolation in the fluid is important, but that would be affected.

Overall not worth the hassel or risk.

The bleed nipple is so darn hard to get..i sent the l/h side brake calliper to foundry and ask them to remove the broken bleed nipple..he did remove it and make a new thread..he make it bigger. Actually I already acquired another brake calliper but it's for the r/h side. I'll just keep it for future use.

Thanks for the info man.

Next project is to clean the fuel tank. This is what a dirty tank will do to your carb.

Hello experts of 360,

Now the carburettor is clean. I am going to remove the fuel tank. From Haynes manual, 1. I must jacked up the rear of the car.-done-.2. Remove the heat shield from beneath the fuel tank.- I don't have the heat shield, it's carburatoer. 3. Disconnect the gearchange rod at the gearbox and unbolt gearchange from the middle of the torque tube. How do I do this?
