Had a T5 briefly as a project hauler a few years ago but new to the retro volvos (but not retro cars). Moved over to NZ and they are not really a fan of euro cars. Picked this up for the princely sum of £200 all working with a new WOF (MOT) new set of tyres and seemingly well looked after.
Its an 86 360 2.0l thats been around the word a few times, odometer reads over 380,000km's. Interior is incredibly tidy, body work is pretty good apart from the odd car park dent. (not rusted atleast).
Apart from driving through a blizzard on the way back and the drivers wiper skipping the splines resulting in me having to keep putting my arm out the window and realign it, it ran beautifully.

Somehow i've ended up with two maroon cars in a week!
Now i picked this up as it was old, RWD and fun, but as attesting/motorkhana/autocross is popular around here i'm very tempted to try the volvo in this. I'm handy with the spanners and thanks to this forum already eyeing up the 2.3FT conversion for future route.
But in the mean time i'm open to all suggestions and advise, i've already checked and swede can get me parts, but some of the heavier stuff will have to be sourced myself. :360:

Welcome aboard, sill Kiwis don't know what they are missing out on with their Euro hatred, apart from Logan the ovlov king of upside down land.

Was that from Christchurch?

I lived in NZ for 8 years and lived in chch for a bit and used to see a maroon saloon with those steel wheels and the numberplate looks familiar.

Yes it will be that very one. Small world eh.

I think a nice set of small wheels will be the hardest thing to get hold of here. (Without spending a fortune)

Logan is selling a set of 14" Leo alloys on trade me.

They are 4x100 same as the mk1/2 golf so the wheel selection is massive for these. I own a mk2 golf and a 360 so have 5 sets of wheels to swap between

300's love autotests/solos etc, with the amount of steering lock they have. Make sure you have a decent set of front and rear dampers and that all the rubber is good and you have a decent chance of some silverware.

There is no steering lock like the lock of an S90. That's Shits legendary. And I was eyeing this old girl up, but I'm chasing another chch car, to add to the whiteblock collective at my house, do still miss having a functioning 360 though. Suppose more motivation to get the wiring Done on the world's first, as I'm calling MR300 now.

I can ship the leos at your cost, we send over 2 tonnes of stereos back to Japan every month through tnt at work so we have good rates, I can get some prices if you would like??

She looked a tidy old girl, this was the one on trademe no??

I also have literally shed fulls of parts for these too, if there's anything you need.

Awesome cheers, and yeah if you could get a quote that would be great (do you have a spoiler kicking around amongst your spares). Yes its the one of trademe. Rust wise all good, one bumper scrape on the rear corner and some decent car door dings but overall not bad, also some lacquer peel. It'll get a quick respray but need to decide a colour.

I will be putting some landy shocks on the rear and swapping the oil in the front with some lowering blocks and see how it performs.

My saturday off this weekend so took it for a blast towards the mountains all performed well apart from being a little soft, and the exhaust decided to give up somewhere around the footwell, and it was a toasty -4'c this morning.

We cracked negative 3 up here yesterday, and I've 2 or 3 GLT wings floating about. Will check conditions etc soon. Give me a text on 0277678571, also join volvo marketplace (nz) on Facebook if you do the whole bookface thing. I know 360 beast doesn't (looking at you luke -_-)

I just saw that it's a sedan, not sure if the GLT wing will fit. Can someone else confirm?? Don't really want to part with my sedan one as I'm gonna double wing my project.

Saloon one is a small plastic strip, the hatchback spoiler would look silly on a saloon.

Yea I know I've got one of each, but I'm planning on mounting my saloon one underneath my hatch one, me and a mate mocked it up and it looks mint as
