Fake - F7R Motorsport Daily

Took Fake along to the Bournmouth and District car slalom the weekend before last, not done one before. Had a spare set of tyres, and was expecting to be put on the huge open car park for the event. Nope, seems that this is a silly idea, and due to circumstances unseen, had to go on the banger track instead, with lots of armco.
Still, I had a great time, the day is made up of 20 or so courses, of which you have to memorise a route through cones, and drive it as quick as you can, without hitting anything. Other cars there on the day were stage prepped Mk1 escorts (cages, hydro handbrakes etc) stage prepped mk11 golf GTi 16V's (and due to the genius way the classes are done, both the above are between 1.6 and 2.0, so Fake was put with them) along with 106 rallyes, a very lairy capri, nova GTE's, caged Midget and lots of other stuff.
Firstly, I was a bit special, and forgot to tick the under 25's box on the entry. Secondly, everytime I hit a corner hard, the carb would bog (floats are right, just think that carb doesn't like hitting corners that wobbly, new front shocks defo needed). Thirdly, I really really need a handbrake that works (prolly a hydro tbh, I've been thinking it for a while with rallying anyway, and if I'm gonna do more of these...). Fourthly, I need an LSD.
Anyway, a vid follows, showing one of my runs. Clutch kicking the back end round did get it closer to the armco than I planned earlier in the day, red mist is bad. You can here the carb bogging and the inside wheel spinning up in parts.
But, the best bit, I beat the best under 25 time (was a mate who took that) and I got 3rd in class! You're only allowed one trophy, so I wouldn't have got the U25 anyway. Quite how I got third in class hasn't yet been understood, I hit two cones all day, which gave me 20 secs of penalty, and I wasn't that far off my mates prepped Mk11 16V after that. Very very chuffed

Have a look at the guy who put it ups vids, theres a few incar of him and his MR2, VERY good driving.
EDIT::: Tom, I think I now know why I get through more tyres than you do...
