Well i was in two minds realy, the excesive roll is causing the inside wheel to get very light so the outside wheel has to do all the work. which would be helped by the ARB but generaly stiffer front means more under steer. But then again im no chassis expertSteveP wrote:Nice pic!
Whiteline do a front anti-roll bar that's 27mm, overkill though I would've thought and may make your understeer problems worse. What front end setup do you have?
I have the stiff 3" drop springs from Dai, on volvo open dampers filled with EP80 gear oil, everything else is standard (bushes etc), oh and a knacked top mount
only thought i had was maybe the ep80 is too much? i do have a pair of New UNIPART standard sealed front shocks may be worth a try.

How much does a whiteline cost?
Im thinknig of using a old(343 and early 340's) and new type swaybar. 1 is fixed to the front of the front member, and the other to the back of the front member (they are different too on early and newer cars). Just a small welding job to fix the second to the frontmember, and it fits allready, they don't hit!
But im thinking this is overkill...

Dai used to do the older style links - wherever he is. I did find a supplier of the BV10 Swaybar here in the UK, but seem to have mislaid it...redranger.com.au wrote:Unfortunately we

Re: WooDooUKs ReVolvo Project (Update 15/09/08) Track Action
DISASTER!
after having a few oil (Lack of) issues the other week the head sounded rather tappety, so i replaced the Hydraulic Lifters and all was good.
On the initial test drive the oil pressure was getting very low according to the gauge, but no noises, knocking tapping or anything, wasn'tafter discussing it with my farther (experianced mechanic, So i thought ) he said it is more than likley the gauge due to it being a cheapo electronic ebay jobbie (realy cheap), still not convinced i used the car for a couple of days and all was good!
Then came tonights drive home from work!
after my normal comute down the M4 it was time for the lanes, Oil Temp was ok at 75c, and the coolant was normal,
Oil Pressure was at 20PSI off idle according to the "Faulty" gauge,
just over a mile from home the 1.8 F7P has now Seized solid!!
Last time i ignore any gauges, no matter how cheap they are!
took the plugs out and tried the Crank pully and its Solid. Engine will not turn
kinda annoying as the engine had new tappets in it and it was only on 65,000 miles.
However i like to see this as an opportunity! With the engine out for replacement it will give me chance to sort out lots of little things that i wasnt happy with, Mainly the way the coolant pipes bodged due to the lack of the T-Peice that the 1.7s have in the back of the water pump and the metal pipe that runs across the engine and round the back. (if any one has one please let me know). and there was also an oil leak from somewhere (suspected one of the gauge senders)
Biggest thing of all is the oportunity to Either fit a 2.0 Clio Williams lump or build a 2.0 Hybrid.
I Will hopefully Posting some progress soon.

I still do the links and they will fit the whiteline ARB.
Sorry to hear about your engine going. I'm sure the strip down will reveal what went wrong. Best fo luck with the replacment
