Hello, I have not been very active here lately.

http://www.janiervast.com/projekti/ Here is my project page, unfortainly it is in finnish now, but maybe later I will add english version too. Images in there might be interesting for you when project advances.

I'm converting B200K to programmable fuel injection, conversion is going slowly because I have very limited budget. I still hope that it should be ready for next summer.[/url]

Looks like the project is going well!

Are you going for MS&S, or just MS and keeping the Renix ignition? I take it you'll be swapping the camshaft too. Should be very interesting when finished!

cheers

At first just MS, mostly because I don't have money to build all at once, lol.

Camsaft will be replaced, right when I will have money left for it. Now I have Y-cam in car, I have T-cam at self, but I'm not going to use it as it is as bad. Instead I'm planning to go for rather wild cam so it is new one I need to buy.

I also wish to get MS&EDIS sooner or later builded, also some major engine work, but it takes time to get enough cash for it. Car has also some other priorites to take care of, like brakes and suspension, also some rust ;)

You can see here why suspension needs little work http://www.janiervast.com/videot/motopa ... 2_xvid.avi
Bouncing a bit too much for my liking :(

A Y cam?! Where did you get that from - that's not standard!

Why not pick up a V cam from a 740 2.0 or 2.3 (NA)? They're common as muck, and given 'enough' of an upgrade.

It is standard. B200K's have either L or Y cam.

Interesting...I had previously thought they were L only. Are we sure that isn't the B200K from the 240 (/ 740?)?

There are also two versions of the L cam - one for the B200K, one for the B21A!

Well I haven't checked myself so can't be 100% sure but so are people saying that atleast in here 360GL's have Y cams.

This is curious! I ought to check mine sometime...

Maybe....just maybe...the B19A had an L cam, and the B200K had a Y cam, explaining the dramatic difference in power (in comparison to B19E vs B200E). Haynes reports (arguably the only main source of such info?) the B200K cam as an 'L', but they may well just not have updated it from the B19A! I mean Haynes are wrong often enough...

V too low? How about a K or H cam then?

There is a VERY good range of off-the-shelf NA cams, so I see no reason to go aftermarket unless you're building a race engine. Turbo is a different matter of course...

Spend that money on something more useful - like megaspark or an exhaust manifold / header!!

Whole exhaust is going to be replaced with more sporty when I replace cam, also cylinder head is going to be modified.

H and K cams are rather rare here, also prices are high so it costs around same to buy a new part.

But that is not going to happen for a year or so. Maybe I swap A cam in before that (20 euros), it does not spoil fuel economy but gives little better breathing, but nothing is written into stone yet.

Primary goal is to get car running with Efi for summer, lot to do for that first.

I think we may have some Ks lying around - but yes, the H is very rare!

I'll ask around about the K for you...

I could be interested if price is not very high, 20-40euros with post is what I'm ready to pay for this summer, next winter will be different story again :)

I believe we tend to sell cams for £20-40....plus shipping....which could be the same again!

Megasquirt box is now completed, now wiring harness must be done and after that I need to install new intake manifold with all parts, throttle cable and little stuff here and there, like fuel pump and lambda.
