I bought this car back in november to use up a load of parts i had kicking around. I have rebuilt my old 1.8 16v engine for it so engine is a fresh build. Made an exhaust for it from new parts, fitted nissan 200sx front seats. Various other things are going to get done to the car so i will just keep updating. The car is getting the brakes from my grey car as i am upgrading those again.
When the car is done i will drive it for a while to make some more changes to my grey car.
Body work is what i am tackling at the moment and some small rust issues. Once this is done i will paint the one side of the car to repair all the dents.

Good shooting dude, Fab-tastic.
*puts hand up*
got a question though.

Whats going on with the rear clusters?
have you simply sprayed the ind. lenses red?
If so, why?

Dont get it.
Am I missing something?

Do tell.

Yeh its a tint spray, personally i'm not a fan of smoked lights so an all red rear cluster looks cleaner. My grey car is the same. With a yellow LED bulb it shines amber ab perfect.

Ah right man, cool.
Does look good an all. youre completely right.

Couldnt work out how youd keep amber indiacation through the spray, but if its tint spray then I suppose the principles exactly the same as smoke tint.

Do fifty and sell em man.
Call it Adstyle Rear Clusters.

This time next year, millionaire.

Well this is todays progress, all rust been cut out of the inner wings and replaced with fresh metal, as has all patches that needed doing in the front valance....
The inner wings have been treated, then painted and will get heavily waxoiled in the problem areas before the wings go back on....
Only welding left to do on the car is rear jacking points a patch on the sill and the corner of the scuttle..... hen paint time.

Great work there mate. You could almost title your thread "how to sort the typically rusty bits on a Volvo 300".

Very impressive work as always :)

Just one question - where the section was cut out from the A pilar, what was the dark inside. Was the inside of the pillar very corroded, or is it anti rust stuff. Very hard to tell from the pic

Was surface corrosion, that was treated then painted then covered over.
