Re: Astral Tweeks
Thanks for the comment!,
MCHUDD fitted the rev counter, and by some kind of magic it works great, he replaced the clock, first off is to remove the steering wheel, then all the plastic clips underneath the dash and the screw's around the top of the display / instrument cluster, then reaching up behind to disconnect the instruments (This is the difficult bit, need skinny arms, and having an anorexic assistant really helps) unless you have 'the knack' like MCHUDD, and pull them forward and out, then some very fiddly bits involving a small starhead screwdriver to dismantle the back of the instrument cluster, disconnect clock, then i think it is plug and play for the rev counter (as long as it's VDO (I Think)), reconnect everything and then reversal of dismantle instrument assembly.
That's probably clear as mud, without pics to illustrate its difficult to say, but you get the general idea,
I couldnt have done it myself, but it's just knowing how everything in the instrument cluster fits back together, it's moderately difficult, sure if you had a go at fitting one and you got stuck and posted a photo, it wouldn't be long until someone from the site here helped you out with advice.

Blacks timeless and has been done since way back when.
Be cool to do something different mind dude.
ive always fancied Shelby style stripes in white on mine.
Just because ive never seen it on a 300 and the white would look good over the maroon.
Go for something that you like and you cant fail dude.
oh and get over to the big (big) island for a meet dude. i'd love to see it in the flesh/metal man.

Re: Astral Tweeks
Great pics! Nice car, nice scenery ...
I'm biased of course but I like the look of your car pretty much as it is ... The wheels look great on it, and the rear spoiler. Same colour as my daily, but the 3dr body looks better on a MkIII than a 5dr ...

The more i think of it, shelby stripes would look really good in black over red, .....still done very little with the spare bonnet, mostly due to weather here, took these snaps the other day
took the front splitter off, it scraping on speed bumps was doin ma head in!
still looks good though and it didnt cause any damage
i will seek out a mk2 golf deep splitter in time as it looks best IMO, the standard 360 splitter isnt bad either
