Re: Andy P's Project....for sale???

Post by Andy P » 26 May 2009 09:53 am

Well the reason for sale is the Mrs wants something quiet, smooth, refined, reliable!

I've currently got 3 cars, this 340, another moredoor 340 1.4 and an S40.

The S40 is the serious project car (the 340 16v was just a warm up project!) and I know if I keep the 340 16v I'll continue to tinker and the S40 will never get done.

Both 340's are for sale and I'm looking for a modernish diesel to replace them - something like a VW passat/bora/golf TDI, Mondeo Tdci, possibily even a 3/5 series diesel. Basically something I'm definately not going to want to play about with, will be cheap to run and I won't have to worry about.

Then when I've actually got some space on the driveway, the mentalist project begins :)

Hi Andy,

Many thanks for forwarding the thread.

Wow, what a difference to Trundle 2.

Surely you are not going to sell her after all the work that you have done !!!!

Take care

Hi Andy,

Have you decided yet whether you are going to sell Trundle 2?

Yes, T2 is still for sale - it needs to go now that I've got another car.

A sale had been agreed however the deal has now fallen through, so this weekend I'll get back on to it with the polisher to tidy up the car and get it looking mint again for viewers.

Yep one very happy new owner here!!!

Car is an absolute credit to andy and his attention to detail!! The car looks and goes faultlesly!!!

I will be honest and say I am going to be drifting it but I will not be turning it into some sort of trampdrift car, I'm going to keep it as mint as poss and just build on what I already have!!

:D Its great to hear that you're happy with it and that you're enjoying my hours of rolling about on the driveway cursing at the car till I'm blue in the face

Dan
Dan meet Craig (luffy), Craig meet Dan (baz).

Dan is the guy I sold the gearbox to and has the diff to give to you. Its from a 1.7 so it'll be longer than the 1.4 diff you've got fitted at the moment.

Last I heard T2 had been sold on by "luffy" due to lack of time to actually use the car properly.

I've contacted him to see if the new owner is a forum user (either here or Driftworks etc) so I can keep an eye on the car. Really missing it now - if I can ever find it and I have the funds available I'll be looking to buy it back....

I did do a quick search on the dvla and the car has been retaxed since I sold it and isn't due for a while so I can only assume its still being used on the road which is good news :) Only bad thing is that its the wrong person behind the wheel :(
