Aye, Its all fine well saying 'aye, that looks like a well built brake ballot box' and stroking your chin knowingly etc
but its far more impressive when you know what it actually IS!
no bother magnumpie.
I'll keep rocking the rookie questions and then we'll all be able to keep track.

Well done Ad man.

I'd love to have one on the 205, left foot braking would be soooo much easier with that!

Re: Volvo 340R EVO 3 Update 16/07/09 Watts Link!!

Another advantage with the watts link over a panhard setup is that the axle doesnt move in a single arc, the double link on the watts helps eliminate this.
Tell you what sell me a limmy and we can do a deal....

Does Lewis Hamilton fix his own car?
Did Isambard Kingdom Brunel drive his own steam trains?
NO!!!!!!

C'mon - it's a match made in Hollywood. Craggy old rally veteran talked into buckling up one last time by good looking young hotshot engineer. Spins off on first corner, but somehow, incredibly comes from behind to win the race. Champagne, good looking birds, flag waving and a scene half way through when you get pissed together on whisky in a garage somewhere near Chipping Norton. Steven Spielberg would be all over you like a rash

I have had a spare day on LFE so got round to doing more work on the axle, it turned out the top bars were not compatible in the location they sat in, and i had no movement for travel at the ride height i wanted so i sorted that with shorter brackets.

The other ballache i had was that all coilover brackets i can find for sale were not wide enough for my spax, so i widened some to fit, then to keep teh correct shocker position i had to notch them to fit the axle and gusset them to give their strength back.

The axle is now free floating and hanging under its own weight on the coilovers.
The cossie disks have also been drilled to suit the volvo stud pattern.
Some goodies also arrived for me in the post.
Enjoy.
Adam

Top notch work as per the norm from you mate :D .

Just out of curiosity what do you use to cut your metal, it looks to be a fairly hefty gauge, are you just handy with the angle grinder or got some sort of laser cutter?
