Thanks for update, this is awesome!!

I can see that the enginemounts are your babies. You should be proud!
It is big pleasure when putting in some great effort in such "small" things!

I hope you follow my Swedish thoughts translated into something that looks like English but could be called "Swenglish" sm6

Your car looks great with those wheels and the rest of the mods.
Looking forward to see this monster in daylight pics when ready!

Well i have been chipping away at this in the evenings, I have pretty much finished the water pipe, and started welding up unused holes in the inner wings and bulkhead. I have also been to Autosport international earlier in the year and purchased all the parts to make my custom front suspension. Which will be fully adjustable camber and caster, along with bump steer & geometry correction for the lowered ride height. Will keep you all posted.
I also now currently have a single seater, i am removing the standard seat mounts for two reasons, they dont meet regulations if i want to compete in the car and i need the seats lower down to suit the driving position and keep my head away from the rollcage.

Another update and another hurdle overcome. Firstly finished smoothing some unused holes in the bulkhead. Due to the new seating position and the extended column with the momo boss and quickrelease hub i needed to move the column lower. It was way to high for the seat.
I cut both brackets off the column and had a friend sit in the car whilst i tacked the column together. That worked out great, until i tried to reconnect the lower section.
The 340 only uses one UJ unless it has a PAS rack so i didnt have enough articulation to get it all lined up. I checked my spares and found another lower column and a couple of UJ's. I ended up grinding flats into the cut lower section, this worked out great. I'm very happy with the driving position and popped my gauge cluster in to check visibilty.
Thats all for now!!

A small update but still an update. Im very tight for space on getting water to the heater matrix, so i have modified the pipework, The pipes will now come out of the side of the matrix rather than forward through the bulkhead and the heater valve will be under the dash like a 740. These aeroquip fitting made my life easier!!
All for now Adam

Amazing build. I’ve been a big fan of the 340/360s for years but not been able to have one.
I’m hoping to have some space to do one up.

With the rear suspension had you adapted an escort kit or did you make it all yourself? I’ve been looking for ages and not seen anyone have any detailed photos like yourself. The only problem being all your photos are blurred from photo bucket.

What’s your next steps? Have you got any updates?

Great project!!

For info, I had a look at ways to automatically un-blur the images in your browser and posted about it here:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17735&p=194821#p194821

They do seem to work for the most commonly-used browsers.
