Dude, when are you gonna have time to glance at the road?
Its going to be like piloting the Starship Enterprise.
You need a co-driver/engineer to run with you full time.

naa that WOULD be a little too much i've got some ideas about placing them, i'm sure it will work out just fine and look the tits.
today i placed the new downpipe support bracket:
now the weight of the exhaust is off the downpipe, much better.
fixed the tear in the stainless piece thursday evening; and today i also replaced a bend on the downpipe so the stainless fits perfectly
then i finally got round tying the fuel pump to the car
something i intended to do a loooong time ago

jep, at Terberg i sometimes have heavy terminal tractors for german custumors with TUV approval on the speclist; sometimes a TUV guy comes over and every single dimension etc gets measured and checked with our building specifications; one of them failed actually because i placed the exhaust tip on that tractor slightly too low, 5 second fix but still it's a tough protocol!
glad we don't have that in holland
but TUV approved or not, i can see enough again with the streamer 5cm up

Re: Anjo's Project Car: 1986 340GT Special, B14Turbo
this is actually a true story and i won't tell you more than this:
I know some guys who registered a company in a special eastern country so that they can run cars in germany as company cars of that special dummy company and therefore can run cars in germany without TÜV at all.
And the Tax goes to the eastern country...as you can imagine, its not as much as it would be in Germany.
But they still somehow use German ensurance etc.
Pretty nice loophole in the law they found there.
Now of course these cars are not dangerous junkers but well prepared high performance sportscars.
However, i like the story and how they outmanoeuvred the shitty TÜV.

Re: Anjo's Project Car: 1986 340GT Special, B14Turbo
hellyeah!!
it was a complete kit this fella had, but unfortunatly the sideskirts were inside a car on his compound, and that car had a forced rear lock and all content including the sideskirts was stolen but; i know a guy who has a set of them lying around so i'll use them as a copy, damage on this front and rear spoiler will be fixed, and chances are extremely high that i'm going to modifie this bodykit while i'm at it making it a bit more to my taste.
then there's some bad news, dumpvalve gave up on me;
piston is grooved, and sideeffect of this is that the piston seal twisted and blocked the piston into the housing, it didn't move and was stuck wide open, i heard a really loud SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH on the motorway
but that's unfortunatly not all the bad news
the f*cking manifold desided to crack again, same places as last time. i'm verryyyyy temped to throw in a stock b14 at this moment and put the B14T on a engine stand to create a new exhaust manifold from scratch.

ok; quick update:
i'm busy with the new valve cover
burned out the old crankcase breather since this pipe is soldered:
and the new breather pipe; 300% bigger than the original one.
still need to fabricate a plug for the original hole and TIG weld it
and today some goodies arrived:
