spend a day behind the lathe :D
Image

was going to make the new crankshaft pulley out of a solid chunk of aluminium, unfortunatly that chunk didn't fit in the saw so i had to mill all the excess material off, the aluminium is ø160x105mm and the dimensions of the pulley are ø134x33mm
Image

so i decided to make start with milling most of the excess material away, then change the cutter and machine everything up to specification

Image

the rear machined to the correct dimensions
Image
allmost done
Image
Image
Image

before and after lol
Image

testfit on a borrowed B14.1E, it comes out of a 343Black Beauty :D
Image

next is modifying the pulley so it can be secured at TDC on the crank; then adjusting the triggerwheel so it secured to the pulley and finally making a bracket for the sensor, but first; i need to clean up the mess in the workshop haha

Good work on the turbo mate. Give a call if you need help with the wiring or software setup.

changed the twin 10" electric fans for twin 12" fans,
Image

modified the bracket for the oil cooler and intercooler, i'm thinking about using a different oilcooler but that'll happen later on
Image

and the intercooler back in place
Image
Image

made a plate through the existing cutout of the firewall for the fuel hoses and battery cables
Image

and made the cables
Image

bended some stainless pipe for the heater
Image

new coolant pipe for the turbo
Image

heater coolant bits done
Image

throttle body, injectors and fuel rail in place
Image

made the fuel hoses, connected the brake booster and made a new throttle cable
Image

replaced the radiator for one of a volvo 360, slightly more ideal upper hose connection; i do have to redo the stainless pipe i made earlier but who cares

Your build thread is proper weld porn. You're always very precise with everything too, I appreciate that :D

just noticed that this needs a tiny update! first off, lets start with the very first startup:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4qVhATMYH4

didn't go exactly as planned as initially i had no spark, turned out i misplaced a earthing pin in the wiring loom; took me a while to find out.

then, with the engine warmed up and a few minor idling adjustments
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOn_qMWdxvM

no hickups except for a small issure. there are 2 AFR sensors in the downpipe, one for the AEM gauge, the other for the EFI management, the one for the EFI management says it's running lean the one for the AEM gauge says it's running really rich.. haven't found time to find out what the problem is, when that's all good it's time for a setup on the dyno.

then as i walked out of my garage i tripped over a B230 engine that was sitting next to the volvo and realised that it would probably be a better idea to get on with that engine, clear up the mess inside the garage and then crack on with the 340. so, only a few weeks later this happened
Image
Image

this is mid october, engine allready in the 343
Image

currently working on the exhaust(stainless), fuelling and a small bit of wiring; then its time to fire it up :)
