The Volvo 340 Project
The Volvo 340 Project
thought i would start a little project as its starting to get some were
anyway just to bring you up to date
ive lowered it some 40mm up front i not sure the springs lowered it that much
but ive got an little idea
and the back has gone down 50mm looks nice to me
ive also picked up some bike carbs so hopefully i can make a manifold
and get them running nicely and with a decent exhaust it shoudl make a few more poneys
last two mods are
had my spare diff welded
and im going to get some bucket seats for a bargin price
anyway enough wable some pics
my seats to go in when i fetch them
plently more mods to come but there just running around my head at the moment and waiting for funds
and i think you know what a diff looks like

Thats looking good, the springs may settle a bit at the front so they may still drop a little.
Those seats will look slick slotted in the cabin

Re: my little project 340
nope as long as you pull the seat forward a bit because the seats are lent back
just want some harness next pretty comfy to took it for a drive last night
all i need is a better steering wheel and boss and a snap off spacer from dw as i can now sit further back but cant reach the wheel
also i keep hitting my leg on steering wheel and i have wanted a snap of steering wheel so now ive got a reason

Re: my little project 340
well i took the Volvo runners of the standard seats
and my buckets came with ford runners so i took the ford runners apart
and used the longest bit it lined up prefect for the holes on the Volvo runners
so i could bolt them across the Volvo runners
then i bolted them to bit to the front and back of the Volvo runners
and then my buckets to the ford runner
ill get a pic for you tomorrow if im not snowed in
hope that helps

Re: my little project 340
well tuesday my back box decided it didnt like staying on the car anymore
and parted company god it was loud
so wednesday i started fixing a backbox of my old micra on
hate doing exhaust they take so much time in -0 tempertaure
had to clean about 5" of snow and ice of my drive so i could work on it
nearly got it finshed but i ran out of welding wire with only 4" left to go
so had to wait till today to get some and finsh the job
anyway it sound pretty quiet with a little rasp
