Re: my little project 340
bit more done today got the gear box out and the gear stick but thats were most of the work stops now until my dads range rover is finished its nearly done going for its mot next week woop but ive been looking into suspension systems and dam theres alot to take in i thought i new a fair amount but the more i learn the less i realise i know but ive got to the point were im happy with lengths and angles i need to set up my instance centre roll centre etc for my rear axle design using a triangulated 4 link so i haven't got to use a watts or panard rod bit more compact
Re: my little project 340
just poped these tyres on blue for a while as the silver rims have better tyres and i cant be arsed changing them but i think they suit it better than the white one
Re: my little project 340

Re: my little project 340
Word of warning - 9Js will seriously fuck your bearings and you'll forever be replacing them. Just ask chris
Re: my little project 340
And mine are only on a 7J.... I am running a 35 offset though

Re: my little project 340
well what do you do with those bearings chris?
i know 2 360's in holland with 16" and 9"wide rims, everything stays in one piece.. the only reason i stay with 7" wide is due to the welded diff as i don't want too much stress on the CV joints.

Re: my little project 340
you guys forget im not using the 340s rear end and ive got things planned for the front
but i need the width for grip and looks and the black rims are et 25 at 7j and are fine had no problems with them

Re: my little project 340
I get between 15 and 20,000 out of a set of genuines. I've found Timken significantly better than SKF and Fag, which in turn are significantly better than cheapy unbranded.
Tbh, with the abuse Fake gets I guess thats not bad, but Kar went for nigh on 100,000 on the same set.
