Wheels colour advice
Wheels colour advice
One day I plan to spray the tardis fire-engine red. Until that day when I actually have money, I'll probably be looking for some nice wheels to put on. But I've realised smoke silver is a hard colour to put wheels with. First I tried some white wheels (in photoshop) but the lightness clashes too much with the silver. So then I tried black but it made it look shaggy. I can't find anything that really fits, obviously silver would be too samey. Other people on here appear to have a better eye for colour matching so what do you peeps think I should put on?

Origonal paint dude.

Yours looks cool as is.
Wouldnt silver wheels (like Leos) sit really well?
Or black?
if youve still got the black mesh grille on, it should scan ok.
Please dont pillar box the poor tinker.

Lol, I just think it looks a bit... dull. I mean I'm all for it right now, it looks tidy and I can appreciate its shinyness as it is. The paint idea is a long way off btw, we're talking sometime late next year so the fad might have worn off by then
Of course the other idea I had was the "mad max" look with black steelies

Yeah, mad maxy sounds cool.
He'd have been a lot better off in the post apocolypse wastelands in a 300 than a supercharged v8 falcon.
Although the fuel aconomy is probably comparible.

I reckon gun metal grey would match in well with the body, and then even better when she is gleaming in red.

I have the same problem as my new one is smoke silver too. I think I'll try to find some vauxhall 15" steelies for the sleeper fun.

Re: Wheels colour advice
have you done any colour changes to the wheels yet mate?
if not, i reckon you should go with the white on most of the wheel, but spray the rim lip in either silver or exact match with your body colour. should blend it in a bit more, i think it would look pretty good!

In hindsight this looks really stupidSpeedy88 wrote:One day I plan to spray the tardis fire-engine red.

I'm looking around for something like these but black rather than silver, started to get a silver/black theme going which looks nice (cameras knackered, will hopefully get some pics soon)

Re: Wheels colour advice
They look like Revolution 4spokes but with rounded off spokes.
I've got a pair of black ones in my garage but as far as i'm aware they have a sleeve nut design so being Mini PCD and not 4x1oo i don't think they'd fit nicely even with wobble bolts.

Ah well, they're RS 4 spokes, the ones you see on old escorts and stuff. I also messed aboot with ronnie's car pic and decided these would look awesome:
