cut springs

Hi,

I cut 3 coils off the front springs and using stock strut insert. Now it is lower but bounces a lot. There is a shop which can make inserts stiffer. Would it help to make less bouncy? And do I need to shorten inserts stem? What lenght bump stops I should put in? Thanks.
